Public park courts you can walk onto
Brisbane City Council parks such as New Farm Park include free public tennis courts that operate first-in, first-served during daylight hours. There is no booking system, so bring your own balls and net if signage says so, and be ready to share if others are waiting. Lit courts and club-managed courts almost always carry an hourly fee, which covers lighting and court maintenance.
Cheapest paid alternatives
If nothing free suits your time slot, casual court hire at Brisbane clubs typically starts around $10–$20 per hour off-peak, and many social sessions cost less than a coffee. Use the search to filter by price, date and how far you are willing to travel.
